To insert a menstrual cup, start out by finding a comfy position with your legs apart -- sitting on the toilet or standing with one leg propped up on the toilet or bathtub ledge works quite well!
Smoosh the lid of the cup together, and then fold the cup to make it compact. Insert the cup into the vaginal canal, while continuing to hold the edges together. Using a little lube to help it slide in makes this much more comfortable!
Once you’ve pushed it in as far as it will go, release the edges so that the cup opens all the way and suctions on to the walls of the vagina, around the cervix. If this doesn’t happen immediately, try twisting the cup while bearing down. Make sure the cup is covering your cervix by swirling a finger around the sides -- you can even it a gentle tug to make sure it’s created a seal. If it has, you should be able to feel a little bit of resistance!

Dont buy these unless u want to basically fist yrself evertime u try to get the cup out. Maybe I just hve tiny hands (very possible) but i have the Hardest time getting these things out. There is no thing grab to help pull it out, and the smooth design, while comfortable, makes retrieval infinitely more difficult. Also as u could imagine digging around can lead to accidentally pinching at things not meant to be pinched. So yeah unless u have long fingers with an excellent grip, and dont mind getting minimum two knuckles deep in yr pussy every time, I’d pass.

The FF cup literally saved my life!!! Because of a previous ED I’ve had irregular periods for almost a decade- from spotting toThe Shining Level flow, no period at all to a 2 week period, awful symptoms, etc. I’ve been using my cup for about 3 months now & my periods have been pretty much regulated (for me at least). It’s oodles more comfortable than a tampon & more secure than a pad. It took a few cycles to get the hang of it but I love my cup!! I wish I had known before purchasing these that they are not compatible with IUDs because the suction they use can sometimes displace your IUD. they're great, but do not use if you have an IUD!
