Air Pressure + Rumbly Vibes = Slow & Steady Bliss

As an Earth sign and creature of habit who can sometimes get into a solo play rut, I’m always thrilled to find new toys for switching up my masturbation routine. Putting down my wand and experimenting with different sensations has helped me explore different ways of getting off while helping me avoid repetitive jerking off that can sometimes start to feel like over-reliance on one position, one method, one toy, one sort of stimulation, etc. Most recently, I got the chance to try out Biird’s Namii, a 2-in-1 toy that combines air pressure stimulation with vibration, for a nice little departure from my usual hard and fast solo sessions.

Biird’s Namii 2-in-1 toy combines a range of functions for varied sensations that are perfect for the air pulse-curious.

The Jouissance (French for “Bliss”) Club edition of Biird’s Namii 2-in-1 air pressure toy and rumbly external vibe combines a range of functions and intensities for varied sensations that are perfect for the air pulse-curious. There are two versions of this toy, the Biird Namii and the Jouissance Club edition of the Namii. This review will focus on the Jouissance Club version, which is identical in function to the regular Namii, but includes a ton of extra accessories and goodies and comes in a cute mint green color.

Namii is the most recent release by a French company called Biird. You may not have heard of Biird yet, but the women behind this company have been working in the sex toy biz for about 20 years and have committed to making body-safe pleasure objects that are also accessible to different budgets, ungendered, and very nice to look at. The female-led team behind Biird got its start in the Netherlands, and has a sex-positive and pleasure & anatomy centered approach to toy design. For the special Bliss Club aka Jouissance Club edition of the toy, Biird teamed up with the folks behind the Jouissance Club Instagram account, which is run by Bliss Club author Jüne Plã. If you haven’t checked the book out yet, I highly recommend it, especially if you’re looking for ways to infuse new and creative techniques into your solo or partnered play.

The Jouissance Club Pleasure Guide by Jüne Plã combines really cute illustrations with tips on how to use the toy on different parts of the body...

The Jouissance Club edition of Namii was a real treat to open. Included in the package were also a number of really great extras. I was really impressed with the Jouissance Club Pleasure Guide by Jüne Plã, which combines really cute illustrations with tips on how to use the toy on different parts of the body and techniques for exploring different activities with the toy, and even a couple without the toy.

In addition to the booklet, the Jouissance Club edition also includes a gold-color metal bookmark in the sexy Bliss Club finger shape, a matching necklace with pendant, a sticker sheet with sexy illustrations of different body types, an art print, a cute storage pouch with similar illustrations, and my personal favorite, a cute charging stand (with USB cable) that you can use as a night light or mood lighting.

Namii has a really unique shape. It’s a palm-sized toy shaped sort of like a bean, with an opening for air pulse on one end and gentle ridges to grind up against on the other end, where the rumbly vibrating motor is. It’s coated in very silky matte silicone that I wouldn’t necessarily describe as “squishy”, but does feel a bit more plush than other silicone vibrators, probably because there’s a thicker layer of silicone covering the body and mechanics of the toy. The softness and give of the silicone is especially nice around the air pulse opening, where it feels very soft and pliable. It feels more comfortable and inviting for inserting your genitals or nipple into than some other air pressure toys with harder openings.

Namii has a two functions that can be controlled independently, but that you can have running at the same time. There are 5 intensities of air pressure stimulation and 5 vibrating functions that includes 3 intensities and 2 patterns. The air pulse stimulation starts at a relatively low intensity that is great for foreplay and super inviting for folks who are just trying out the world of air pulse. At the highest setting Namii is not as powerful as other air pressure toys, which I was initially wary of, but in use actually felt really good, especially when combined with rumbly vibration.

The combination of both functions at the same time creates a sort of surround sound experience that resonates deep into the body.

Using Namii was a really unique experience. Because of the shape of the toy, if you’re using the suction/air pressure end on the clitoris, you can position the vibrating end to either be pressed above the vaginal opening or the mons. The combination of both functions at the same time creates a sort of surround sound experience that resonates deep into the body. Even though this toy doesn’t pack as much power as some other toys I’m used to, the combination of sensations it creates feels amazing, just in a very different way!

Besides using it on the vulva, there are many other ways you can use Namii. Try using the air pressure function on nipples, the glans of a penis, or any other sensitive, erogenous area like the anus or taint. It’s waterproof, so using it in the shower or tub is also great!

A couple of tips I can share from using this toy both by myself and with a partner include making sure you use a lot of lube to create a nice seal around the area you put the air pressure opening on. Use plenty of your favorite water-based lube, since this silicone toy is not compatible with silicone lube.

Try positioning it right on the head or frenulum and moving it around gently til you find the sensations you prefer.

If you have a longer phallus (a long clit, bottom growth from T, have had meta or phallo, or have a penis), remember to position the opening against the most sensitive part of your glans. The opening is too small to insert a larger phallus into, and even if you can get your bits in the hole, if you press into it far enough that your bits are directly up against the pulsating plate, it can stop moving, so it won’t create that suction-like sensation. Try positioning it right on the head or frenulum and moving it around gently til you find the sensations you prefer.

If you’re combining this toy with penetration and you’re someone with a vagina and a g-spot, try positioning it so your clit is in the opening while the vibrating end is pressed against your pubic mound. This is an excellent way to stimulate the g-spot internally and externally all at the same time.

I would really recommend the Namii for anyone who is curious about experimenting with a combination of rumbly vibration and focused air pressure stimulation. It’s a perfect toy for beginners and for people who prefer more gentle sensations. With all of its accessories and beautiful design, it feels like a whole experience to open the package and explore all of its treats, and that’s before you even get to play with all the pleasurable settings and sensations!
