In this empowering guide, Jaclyn Friedman—co-editor of Yes Means Yes—gives you the tools to decipher the modern world’s confusing, hyper-sexualized, and sometimes dangerous landscape in order to help you define your own sexual identity. Friedman decries the hypocrisy and mixed messages our culture expects specifically of "female" identity (you're a failure if you don’t act sexy, but you’re a slut if you actually pursue sex; you need to be protected from rapists lurking in bushes, but deserve “whatever you get” if you have a drink at a party and wear a skirt), and encourages you to separate fear from fact, decode the damaging messages around you, and discover a sexuality that's right for you.
Educational and interactive, What You Really Really Want includes quizzes, creative exercises, and reality-based advice about sex and sexuality today. With Friedman’s informed advice to guide you, you will build new skills for safely expressing your sexuality with a partner and explore effective ways to talk about tricky issues with family and friends — and learn how to make the world a little safer for everyone else’s sexuality along the way.

This book – while cheesy at times – provides very important insights in terms of how to not only figure out what you want, but also how to communicate it. A lot of self-reflection and journaling required, but worth it!
